Sarat Varanasi is an executive leader in Cognizant Insurance practice. Sarat has a P&L responsibility of a 1/3rd of Cognizant Insurance practice at $700M cutting across 40+ clients in life, retirement and P&C space. Sarat has helped several of his clients in their digital and customer experience transformation journey and  is passionate about applying technology to solve Industry problems. As a leader in the Insurance practice, Sarat also runs an Insurance CIO/CTO exchange across the Industry.

Sarat joined Cognizant in 2007 and has held several key roles in Cognizant’s Insurance practice. Sarat has over 25 years of experience in the financial services and insurance industries.

Sarat is member of the IFS board and with broad presence of Cognizant teams serving several Insurance clients in the Metro Hartford area, Sarat is involved in Cognizant outreach programs.
